Level II Post-Secondary Educational Institution Certification
On 7 June 2022, the Standing Certification Committee of the Church of God Division of Education (Cleveland, Tennessee, USA) awarded Denominational Certification status to COGIBC as a Level II post-secondary educational institution. This designation enables COGIBC to award post-secondary academic qualifications, including up to a bachelor’s degree.
Church of God World Missions: Africa Council
In April 2021, the Africa Council of Church of God World Missions approved The Church of God International Bible College (COGIBC) as an online theological training institution for all pastors and leaders of the Church of God in Africa.
Berea Theological University College (BTUC), Lusaka, Zambia
BTUC is a private higher education institution, government-registered as a University College by the Higher Education Authority (HEA) of Zambia (hea.org.zm) to offer accredited programmes.
The programmes offered by BTUC are accredited by Zambia Qualification Authority (ZAQA). As Zambia is a member of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), qualifications accredited by ZAQA are also recognised and accredited by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
In accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding between BTUC and COGIBC, signed on 13 May 2024, students who have obtained a Certificate in Theology for Ministry from COGIBC will follow the academic path outlined below:

  Students  	who have received  	a Certificate in Theology for Ministry from COGIBC will be eligible to apply for the following study programmes at BTUC:  
  
- 
    BTUC  		Certificate in Ministries (CCM),  		and complete two  		additional subjects to earn  		six more credit hours and receive the CCM.    
    BTUC  		Diploma in Theology (DipTh),  		and complete nine subjects to earn 27 additional credit hours and  		receive the DipTh.    
    Alternatively,  		students may first complete the CCM (two subjects) and then  		proceed to the DipTh (seven subjects) to receive the DipTh.

  Upon receiving the DipTh, students may continue their  	studies at BTUC in other programmes offered by  	the institution (https://www.btuc.africa/).  	Alternatively, students who have received  	a Certificate  	in Theology for Ministry from COGIBC will have the  	opportunity to pursue further academic studies at other higher education institution.
